FMA – or Fleeting Moments Artists!

The Fleeting Moments Artists – Carol Byron, Becky Jane Davis, Patsy R. Davis, Dee Hudson and Lorae Mundt thank you for attending our exhibits! We’ve shown our work at Arterie Fine Art Gallery in Naperville last July.  (See gallery page.)  In November we were at Woman Made Gallery in Chicago.  (See Silicon Silver article)  In February, we had images on display at the Wings Gallery at College of DuPage.  (See Courier article.)

While we are working on a new exhibit of abstracts, the images in the current Fleeting Moments Exhibit are being submitted for other showings in northern Illinois.  We will let you know if there is another show near you.

We’ve also spent time brain-storming to formulate a Mission, Tag-Line and some goals.  Somehow “collaborative” and “creative” will prominently appear in our Mission statement in the weeks to come.

Meanwhile, we have renamed ourselves Fleeting Moments Artists and plan to continue as a group to exhibit fine art photography.  Each of us is also busy finishing course work, working in the photography field and submitting and exhibiting our work individually.

News about our Artists:

Carol Byron exhibited in the Alt Life Show in Elgin in January. She also has an image in the PhotoPlace Online Annex Gallery for the Open 2015 Exhibit in March.  She is working on a new series of alternative process images, including lumen and salt prints.  Some of these new images can be seen on her website.
Becky Jane Davis had two images in the SEA Conference Student Exhibit February 20-21 in Lisle.  She also has an image in the PhotoPlace Online Annex gallery for the Open 2015 Exhibit in March.  Her image, Red Pine Afternoon, was part of the “Let There Be Light” exhibit at Bloomingdale Park District Museum in February.
Patsy R Davis had a Pop Up Show, Of The Earth, in December.  She incorporated her scrap-metal welded sculptures, wet-plate-collodion-tintype photo prints, and dried roots to express her avid environmentalism.  She will also be showing in the The Alternative Processes Competition in April at Odessa College, Odessa TX.
Dee Hudson had three images in the SEA Conference Student Exhibit February 20-21 in Lisle.  She also has an image in the PhotoPlace Online Annex Gallery for the Open 2015 Exhibit in March.  As a volunteer, she continues to photograph and restore agricultural fields to prairie for Nachusa Grasslands, a preserve owned and operated by the Nature Conservancy.
Lorae Mundt has been busy with both her photojournalism work at Suburban Life and her Furry Expressions Photography business.  She experimented and now her images are printed large on aluminum with a clear gloss finish.
